The talk by Stuart Hibberd local historian covers the history of three houses om Harold Road Upper Norwood and the people who lived in them, including a Wimbledon tennis champion, a famous North American painter, an inventor and an Under-Secretary at the Ministry of Fuel and Power from 1942 to 1955. You will also learn how the Norwood Street Histories website led to the discovery of a unique photographic collection containing some extraordinary images taken in Harold Road, south London and around the world, some of which will be shown now in public for the first time
