Thor
Jon Mikl Thor is an International heavy metal singer, musician, actor, and bodybuilder who became one of the most unique figures in rock history. Thor began his career in the 1970s, combining powerful vocals and hard-hitting metal with his larger-than-life physique and theatrical stage presence. As the frontman of THOR, he developed a reputation for outrageous performances, including feats of strength, pyrotechnics, and bending steel. Albums such as Keep the Dogs Away, Only the Strong, and Unchained established Thor as a cult favorite among metal fans. Beyond music, he has appeared in numerous films and television productions, further cementing his status as an unforgettable icon of underground heavy metal and cult entertainment.
With the release of the documentary I Am Thor in 2015, the doors to the mainstream had burst open once again allowing him to take massive steps forward in his career. A new generation of rockers and headbangers are being introduced to Thor and his music with numerous streaming giants including it in their massive libraries. I Am Thor tells the tale of his rise, fall, and rebirth, concluding with the singer contemplating the idea of laying down the hammer and walking away from the stage forever. Eleven years after the release, Thor never put down the hammer and is still rocking stages around the world, releasing new music, and cementing his place in the history of rock and metal. Last year we celebrated 50 years of Thor, a milestone very few have been able to achieve. Thor continues to defy the odds as he reaches another milestone: the release of his Final Opus and Tour in early 2027. The Final Battle will be Thor’s swan song, one last pulse-pounding album that will serve as the final chapter to a
fifty year journey.
