Oyster Botanics presents the launch show for Thomas Skalicky's debut EP, 'Voicemail to Self', at the Merri Creek Tavern on Friday, October 16th. Skalicky's music is a distinct take on folk & art-rock, upheld by traces of '70s guitar bands, some psych-rock looseness and loved-up indie grooves. 'Voicemail to Self' encounters themes of fleeting revelations, love-sick fever dreams and musings on the Orwellian nightmare we're trapped in. Also playing on the night will be songwriters Ellen James and Tallulah Grace, presenting magical incantations and fascinations in song form. Be sure to arrive on time to catch the performances these musicians will bring to the iconic Merri Creek Tavern bandroom. The Tav is a standing-room only venue, seating can be provided for people with a disability.
