Pianist Thomas Pandolfi brings Inferno & Transcendence: A Journey Through Dante and Chopin to the museum on Thursday, September 24. The evening opens with Liszt’s Après une lecture du Dante — a single, shattering movement inspired by Dante’s descent into the Inferno — and continues with twelve of Chopin’s Études, from the tenderness of “Tristesse” to the fury of the “Revolutionary” and the surging close of the “Ocean.” Two composers, one journey from darkness into light.
