When Groove Met Jazz. This Is Acid Jazz, Baby revisits the sound that emerged from London’s underground club scene in the mid-1980s, exploded through the ’90s, and captured the zeitgeist of the era.
With breakout acts including The Brand New Heavies, Incognito and Jamiroquai, this musical movement, also referred to as Nu-Jazz, brought jazz harmony together with the irresistible grooves of funk, soul, hip hop and Latin soul, inspiring a new generation of music lovers and dancers alike.
