The Elephant Discovery Center will once again host a variety of educational and entertaining events that are free and open to all ages, on the 'Third Saturday' of each month through December 2026. Events will include storytelling, enrichment and craft-making, as well as the opportunity to meet The Sanctuary’s dedicated elephant Vet and Care Staff to gain insight into the daily care routines and behind-the-scenes operations at The Elephant Sanctuary.Join us on November 21st at 11 a.m. at The Discovery Center in downtown Hohenwald and help create Thanksgiving enrichment for the elephants!
Enrichment can include food or other items that stimulate the elephants' minds and encourage natural behaviors. By participating in this event, you’ll help provide engaging activities, including tasty treats, that promote their physical and mental well-being.
This event is free and perfect for the whole family—folks of all ages can take part in creating enriching items for the elephants. Please dress appropriately for paint and marker usage, and bring your creativity!
