Η συζήτηση θα εξετάσει τα πολιτικά και πολιτισμικά ζητήματα που θέτει το βιβλίο Τέλεια Θύματα και η πολιτική της επίκλησης, με ιδιαίτερη έμφαση στη γλώσσα της επίκλησης, την πολιτική εκπροσώπηση και τις δυνατότητες επαναπροσδιορισμού του τρόπου με τον οποίο κατανοούμε και αναπαριστούμε την Παλαιστίνη.
Θα ακολουθήσει συζήτηση με το κοινό.

Ο Mohammed El-Kurd (محمد الكرد) γεννήθηκε στη Sheikh Jarrah, στην κατεχόμενη Ανατολική Ιερουσαλήμ, το 1998, και είναι ποιητής, συγγραφέας και δημοσιογράφος. Συνίδρυσε το κίνημα #SaveSheikhJarrah και το 2021 συμπεριλήφθηκε από το περιοδικό TIME στους εκατό ανθρώπους με τη μεγαλύτερη επιρροή στον κόσμο. Είναι ο πρώτος ανταποκριτής του The Nation για την Παλαιστίνη και συγγραφέας των βιβλίων Rifqa (2021) και Perfect Victims: And the Politics of Appeal (2025).

Carol Sansour: Poet, Founder and Director of Dounias and the Athens Palestine Film Festival
Stathis Papastathopoulos: Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology, University of Ioannina
The discussion will examine the political and cultural questions raised by Perfect Victims and the Politics of Appeal, with a particular focus on the language of appeal, political representation, and the possibilities of rethinking how Palestine is understood and represented.
The discussion will be followed by a Q&A with the audience.

Mohammed El Kurd محمد الكرد was born in Sheikh Jarrah, occupied East Jerusalem, in 1998, and is a poet, writer and journalist. He co-founded the #SaveSheikhJarrah movement and was named by TIME as one of the hundred most influential people in the world in 2021. He is the first Palestine correspondent for The Nation, and the author of Rifqa (2021) and Perfect Victims: And the Politics of Appeal (2025).
