The therapeutic use of balls is a simple yet profound tool for transformation of tight fascia, chronic pain, and general body imbalances. The balls assist in pinpointing areas of tightness as you massage and hydrate those places. They offer an opportunity to identify blind spots of tension that we can’t often see or feel on our own. By releasing these chronic patterns of holding in the body and fascial system you not only feel better in your physical body but increase your self-awareness. By releasing the stronger “bully” muscles you are now aware of the ability to access and turn on muscles that are typically overpowered and underused.
This work is a perfect complement to a yoga asana practice, strength training, sports or any kind of alignment oriented physical activity. It is a quick & easy solution to better health on a daily basis. Absolutely any level of practitioner can benefit from this work.
In this workshop we will learn and practice certain ball rolling techniques for areas of the body where we typically hold tension; upper back & arms, neck & head, abs & hips, legs & feet. This course includes suggestions on how to incorporate ball rolling into your own personal practice, as well as, the nuisances of how to teach this technique if you are an instructor and you want to incorporate it into a regular asana class.
All the balls you need will be provided for use during the workshop and are also available for purchase.
