The Works is officially opening in West Seattle, and we would love for you to celebrate with us on Small Business Saturday. Our new home in the Alaska Junction brings together everything we do under one roof: instructor-led workshops, our drop-in Maker Bar, DIY kits, and a retail shop filled with goods from makers we love. This move is a homecoming for us, since The Works started as a pop-up in a West Seattle kitchen back in 2018.
Here is what is happening on opening day:
We will cut the ribbon at 10 a.m. with the West Seattle Chamber of Commerce.
The first 25 guests in line will receive a free Works tote bag.
The first 75 guests will get a free ornament-making experience at the Maker Bar.
We will have a balloon arch, a photo booth, and a coffee pop-up running throughout the day.
You can stop in at any point between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. to explore the shop, meet our team, and see the space in person. You will also be able to see the mural our community helped paint.
To get updates before the big day, sign up at theworksseattle.com/grandopening. We cannot wait to see you there.
