What is a Wise Woman Drum?
The Wise Women of ancient times were the original drummers. Her drum is a frame drum that held the heartbeat of the Earth Mother and her own heart as well. Every baby within her womb hears it. This is deep medicine. Recommended reading: When the Drummers Were Women by Layne Redmond. Traditionally the drum is a tool used in Shamanic work such as meditation and journeying, Earth based spiritual practices and other personal power work.
What you will experience:
In building your own drum, you will join others in a ritual process that enfolds into a deep and creative journey through guided meditation, working with animal skins and wooden hoop. I call this the animal give away and hoop of life.

Any woman who wants to create a spiritual tool to use in personal life, group rituals, healing
Supplies include:
Drum frame 15-inch maple
Wet animal hide Elk
Drum beater alder wood
A supply fee of $150 is included in the price of tuition and is non-refundable once the order is made.
What to bring: A bagged lunch and clothing you don’t mind getting messy in.
Please realize you are working with wet animal skins that will have odor. Take this under consideration as you make the decision if this workshop is for you. This workshop is an outdoor event please dress accordingly. Thank you!
