Have you ever gotten burned out on the thing you love most? How do you find your way back? Join us as a stand-up comedian shares his personal artistic journey:

"You're done. You've had it. You love your favorite thing, but every time you do it it makes you angry / sad / confused / lose lots of money. As a stand up comedian, this is often my reality: I have bombed on a show where the entire audience and I were both naked, humiliated myself in front of my childhood heroes, and been heckled by a woman literally setting herself on fire. Were these moments upsetting? Extremely. But through thousands of embarrassing moments, I've developed an unorthodox set of tools to navigate artistic failure in a way that strengthens passion for my craft and my bond with myself. Part gig horror stories, part rick-reuben-style advice, part jokes, come listen to me talk for 45 minutes."

Nico Cattaneo is a new york based stand up comedian known for his role voicing the character "Uni the Unicorn" for the Russian children's cartoon "horns and hacks." He's done other cool stuff too, but that's the main one he really wants to brag about.

We'll explore:

  • How do you separate your ability at an art from your self worth?
  • How do you make following your passion sustainable for the long term?
  • How can you fight burn out and keep your passion?

This might be for you if you...

  • Are curious about the behind-the-scenes world of stand-up comedy
  • Are looking to jumpstart your own artistic journey
  • Are a creative person intrigued by the techniques others use to make their way in the field
