Those silver scraps gathering at your bench could become the starting point for one of your most distinctive pieces of jewelry. In our The Wilma Bracelet class, you’ll learn how to give accumulated silver scraps a new purpose by transforming them into handmade links and a coordinating toggle. Once you’ve created the individual components, you’ll bring them together into a substantial statement bracelet.
Because the links are made from your scraps, the materials you’ve saved become part of the bracelet’s character. The finished piece is more than a way to use leftover silver, it’s an opportunity to turn varied pieces into one cohesive design.
This intermediate-level class is designed for makers ready to build on their bench experience while creating individual components and assembling them into a finished bracelet.
Your instructor, Kim St. Jean, is Tucson Jewelry School’s resident artist and has more than 25 years of jewelry-making teaching experience. She’ll guide you through creating the links and toggle and bringing them together into your statement bracelet.
