Join us in March 2027 for a full day of expert insight, practical guidance, lively discussion, networking and plenty of opportunities to put your questions to the experts.
The private client landscape is changing rapidly. From major tax developments and pension changes to the long-awaited Will Bill, increasing cross-border estates, lifetime trusts, mental capacity issues and the growing risks of contentious estates — there has never been a more important time to stay ahead of the curve.
Our Wills & Probate Conference 2027 brings together leading practitioners and experts for a packed day exploring the issues that are shaping the future of wills, trusts, probate and private client work.
What’s in store?
Expect a dynamic mix of CPD, technical updates, practical advice, case studies and interactive discussion, covering the challenges you and your clients are facing right now.
Our programme will explore:
- Cross-Border Estates – The Need to Knows
International assets and beneficiaries are becoming increasingly common. Discover the key risks, practical considerations and issues practitioners need to have on their radar. - Pensions & Inheritance Tax
With changes coming in 2027, what does this mean for estates and your clients? We’ll look at the latest developments and, crucially, what you should be advising clients — and when. - The Will Bill – What It Really Means for You
Electronic Wills, changes to the test for capacity and new considerations around challenging Wills could transform the way the profession operates. Get to grips with what the changes could mean in practice. - From Archive to Opportunity – Making Your Willbank Work for You
Your willbank could be much more than an archive. Discover how leading firms are using their existing client relationships to reconnect with people, create new opportunities and drive growth. - A Barristers’ Update with John Waiting, Exchange Chambers
Hear the latest legal developments and insights from the Bar, with plenty of practical takeaways for practitioners. - The Court of Protection – Applications & When to Make Them
Mental capacity issues can arise at any stage, whether an executor, beneficiary, trustee or other interested party is unable to make decisions. Explore when an application may be necessary and the issues practitioners need to consider. - Lifetime Trusts – Know the Risks
As lifetime trusts and tax planning become increasingly prominent, so too do the risks of disputes and contentious issues. Understand the potential pitfalls and how to navigate them.
And there’s more…
We’re delighted to bring back the much-loved “Great British Wake Off” – Part 2, featuring a topical case study designed to challenge, entertain and get you thinking.
And when the formal sessions finish, the networking doesn’t stop!
