The Whileaways
Critics have counted Noriana Kennedy, Nicola Joyce and Noelie McDonnell “among the finest singers in the country” and their music “deceptively simple and deeply affecting with stunning melodies and harmonies” (Hot Press Magazine)
Their beautifully crafted original songs and tightly woven harmonies have garnered high praise from the music press both at home and abroad.
The band “hollers for a chance to be heard in a live setting, so rich is its lyrical tapestry” (Irish Times)
This accomplished trio of songwriters came together in 2012 , having each recorded and toured extensively before joining forces as The Whileaways.
They have released four critically acclaimed, award-winning albums since then, touring prestigious festivals and venues worldwide over the past decade.
Irish and UK audiences will also know The Whileaways from their sell-out Bird on the Wire tours, a collaboration with singer Pauline Scanlon celebrating the music of Leonard Cohen.
The Whileaways eagerly anticipated fifth album will be released in September 2026.
Prepare to be spellbound!
Sabrina Ives is a folk singer-songwriter originally from Perth, Western Australia, now based in Derry. Renowned for her original folk music, she blends Celtic influences with blissful melodies and heartfelt storytelling, creating performances that are both warm and captivating.
Drawing inspiration from artists such as Loreena McKennitt and Australian folk legend John Williamson, Sabrina embraces the rich tradition of storytelling through song. A storyteller at heart, her music reflects a deep connection to narrative, culture, and the human experience.
Over the past seven years, Sabrina has written, recorded, and released a growing catalogue of original music, earning recognition for her distinctive sound and authentic songwriting. In 2020, she was nominated for the Channel 7 Young Achiever Awards, and her song War on the Innocent received two awards from the American Golden Picture Eastern Europe International Film Awards.
With a voice and presence that evoke warmth and tranquillity, Sabrina Ives invites audiences into a world of thoughtful lyrics, Celtic-tinged folk melodies, and stories that resonate long after the final note.
