The West Wycombe Chamber Music Festival at Hambleden returns for three extraordinary days from September 17–19, 2026.Directed by world-renowned violist Lawrence Power, this celebrated festival brings elite international musicians for five brilliant concerts to the Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin in the scenic village of Hambleden.
Recently hailed by The Guardian as one of the top classical music events of the year, the festival offers a rare chance to experience top-tier artists up close.
This year we will be exploring the idea of “TIME”. Lawrence has decided to take this theme as a rather interesting jumping off point. We start in 16th-century Florence with the extraordinary story of the lute playing Galileo family and the son whose intellectual and artistic vitality would go on to change the world and the very nature of time. The journey continues across five concerts featuring music written across five centuries.
We will be joined on this exciting musical exploration by some of the most celebrated musicians performing in the world today. Artistic Director Lawrence Power, Stephanie Gonley, Charlotte Spruit, Annabelle Meare, Sergio Bucheli, Simon Crawford-Phillips, John Myerscough and others!
The venue has an intimate and limited capacity, so early booking is strongly recommended.
Tickets for the two daytime concerts cost £20 each, ticket prices for the three evening concerts are £25. A Festival pass for all concerts can be obtained for £100. To secure your tickets or for more information, email at [email protected] or call 01494 528659 / 07948 897148.
