This Ball is personal.
This year, Mr. Purple and I chose each other and celebrated our partnership surrounded by the people closest to us. But there is another family and another part of our life that we could never imagine leaving out of this celebration — Ballroom.
In Lithuania, same-sex couples still do not have the right to marry. So while this Ball is a celebration of our love, it is also our way of saying that our love deserves to be seen, celebrated and treated equally.
Ballroom itself was built by Black and Latino LGBTQ+ communities who created their own spaces to exist freely, build chosen families, express themselves and resist the rejection they experienced outside of them.
So in that spirit, The Wedding Ball is both a celebration and a statement 🤍
A celebration of our partnership.
A celebration of queer love.
A celebration of every kind of love that was ever told it should be quieter, smaller or hidden.
And, in our own way, a protest.

The aisle is your runway. Bring the drama, elegance and movement of a wedding veil into your walk — let it flow, frame your silhouette and become part of your presentation.

🏆 All American Runway – “The Groomsman”
The groom’s right hand has arrived — sharp, confident and ready for the celebration. Serve masculine elegance with your own twist on the classic groomsman look. Suit it up, make it fashion, and walk like you own the aisle.

🏆 Best Dressed – “Dripping in Diamonds” 💎
This is your moment to outshine the wedding ring. Bring glamour, luxury and sparkle with a look that catches the light from every angle. Crystals, rhinestones, sequins, diamonds — real or not, we just need to believe they are.

🏆🏆 Best Drag Queen/King Look – “Drunk Bestie”
The ceremony is over, the drinks are flowing, and the bestie is officially off duty. Give us fabulous, slightly messy, but still unforgettable wedding-guest glamour.

The ring may be the symbol, but the nails complete the moment. Bring a manicure worthy of the proposal — polished, detailed and impossible to ignore.

🏆 Designer’s Delight – “Something New”
Forget the traditional wedding look — we want to see something new. Reinvent the bride, groom, bridesmaid, wedding guest or any other wedding character through your own creative vision. Unexpected silhouettes, materials and ideas are welcome.
Required: an original wedding-inspired look designed and created by you.
Performance:
🏆 Old Way – “The Toxic Parent”
The wedding has barely started and they already have opinions about everything. The partner, the outfit, the guest list — nothing is good enough. Bring that strict, controlling energy through your Old Way: strong lines, precision, confidence and attitude.
Required: bring one wedding-related objection written on a sign/card and make it part of your presentation.
🏆 New Way – “The Pastel Toddler”
The smallest wedding guest is ready to steal the whole show. Bring a playful pastel toddler-inspired look and give us flexibility, shapes and New Way precision with a little spoiled-child attitude. Cute on the outside, dangerous on the floor.

The sweetest little angel has arrived at the wedding… or at least that’s what everyone thinks. 😇 Bring an angel-inspired look and show us your Baby Vogue with confidence, personality and a little bit of mischief.
🏆🏆🏆 FF Performance (FQ Performance / Women’s Performance / Drag Performance) – “The Wedding Crasher”
You weren’t invited, but somehow you became the main event. Crash the wedding with confidence, drama and unapologetic Femme energy — once you hit the floor, everyone should forget who was actually on the guest list.

You came to capture everyone else’s moment — but when the beat drops, the attention turns to you 📸 Serve your Realness first, then surprise us with the Twist and show what happens when the wedding photographer steps out from behind the camera.

Forget walking quietly down the aisle — you came to make an entrance 🌹 Scatter the flowers, serve the attitude and turn the aisle into your own performance floor. Sweet was never the assignment.
🏆🏆 Tag Team Performance – “Kidnapping the Bride”
The wedding was going perfectly… until the bride disappeared. 👰 Two partners, one mission — bring the drama, the chase and the chaos to the floor. Tell us the story through your performance and make this a kidnapping nobody will forget.

Sweet, extravagant and made to be the centrepiece. Turn yourself into the most delicious part of the wedding and serve a look inspired by layers, frosting and celebration.

🏆 FQ Realness – “The Bachelorette”
One last celebration before the wedding. You’re out with your girls, looking flawless and enjoying every second of your bachelorette night. Give us the bride-to-be before she says “I do.” Required: Bachelorette-inspired look.

The ceremony has already started and you’re running late — but you still showed up looking like you belong on that guest list. Walk in like nothing happened and convince us you were absolutely meant to be there.

The celebration is over, but the night is just beginning. Bring sensual bridal energy and let your body do the rest.

The wedding is over, the doors are closed, and the first night has officially begun 😏 Start dressed for the occasion, but don’t expect to leave the floor the same way you entered. Seduce, tease and make the undressing part of your performance.
Required: remove at least one visible piece of clothing during your performance.
🏆 Lip Sync – “The Wedding Performer” 🎤
You’ve been invited to perform at the wedding — and this is your moment to give the guests a show they won’t forget. Choose your own song, create your own production and bring your vision to life.

The mic is yours and the wedding crowd is waiting. Keep the celebration alive, entertain the guests and make sure there’s never a dull moment in the room. Make us laugh, make us react, make us want to stay at this wedding all night.

🏆 DJ Pump the Beat – “The Wedding March Remix” 🎧
The ceremony starts with the Wedding March… but this isn’t a traditional wedding. Take the classic down the aisle and turn it into something the Ballroom wants to hear. Required: your set must include your own remix or creative interpretation of the Wedding March.
𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐈𝐒 𝐁𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐑𝐎𝐎𝐌?
Modern House Ballroom culture took shape in Harlem, New York, in the late 1960s and 1970s, within Black and Latino LGBTQ+ communities. It grew in response to racism and exclusion in existing drag and pageant spaces and became a place where queer and trans people of colour could compete, create chosen families, express themselves and build community on their own terms.
At a Ball, participants walk categories in areas such as Performance, Fashion, Runway, Realness, Face, Body and Sex Siren. Walkers first present themselves to the judges for their 10s; those who qualify continue into battles until a winner is chosen.
Voguing is one of the art forms that developed within Ballroom culture and today includes different styles and categories of movement, performance and expression.

Ballroom is a culture with its own history, language and community — not simply a dance competition.
If you are new to Ballroom, you are very welcome to attend, watch, learn and support. If you would like to walk a category, please read its description carefully, learn about the category beforehand and be mindful of the space you enter. If you are unsure whether a category is for you, please contact the organizer — we are happy to help.
