Weber Brothers set to release 18th albumIt has become part of Canadian music folklore….back in Dec 2000, teenaged brothers Ryan and Sam Weber drove 12 hours north to show up on the doorstep of their hero, rockabilly legend Ronnie Hawkins, aka “The Hawk”.
Now, some 25 years later, The Weber Brothers are still at it. Between live performances, traveling, producing and recording over the last quarter century, it is no stretch to describe them as prolific. The new album, self titled “The Weber Brothers” will mark their 18th full length independent release. “It’s been a real good start,” Ryan remarks.
“I’m really proud of how this one turned out,” Sam Weber says. “We’ve released a lot of music over the years, so it’s always an interesting challenge to try something new.”
Fresh off the heels of the live-off-the-floor “Water Street Trilogy” collection, “The Weber Brothers” new, self-titled album is more studio creation then raw rock and roll.
“This is some of the more emotional music we’ve done, so that was really the top priority. Did we capture the “feeling” on these tracks? Sometimes you have to find a different way home,” Sam adds. “I think it’s some of our best stuff yet.”
On May 9th and 10th, The Weber Brothers perform at The Moonshine Cafe in Oakville to commemorate their 18th album. Tickets are $35 and are available by calling 905-844-2655
