The Wailers with Opening Act TBAIn 2027, The Wailers celebrate the 50th anniversary of one of the most important albums in music history: Exodus.
Following an exceptional 2026 that saw The Wailers perform to audiences around the world, including numerous sold-out shows and appearances at high-profile international festivals, the band returns to the global stage with the Exodus 2027 World Tour — Album of the Century, celebrating five decades of an album whose music and message continue to resonate across generations.
Released in 1977, Exodus was created during a defining period in the history of Bob Marley & The Wailers. Featuring timeless songs including “Jamming,” “Waiting in Vain,” “Three Little Birds,” “One Love / People Get Ready,” “Natural Mystic” and the iconic title track “Exodus,” the album became a landmark recording — a powerful expression of movement, spirituality, love, resilience and hope.
Its impact has only grown with time. In 1999, TIME named Exodus the Best Album of the 20th Century, recognizing a body of work that transcended genre and geography to become part of global culture.
Five decades later, that music remains as powerful and relevant as ever.
Under the leadership of Aston Barrett Jr., son of legendary Wailers bassist Aston “Familyman” Barrett, The Wailers continue to honor the sound and spirit that helped change music history while carrying its message into a new generation. Joined by Mitchell Brunings, whose soulful vocals and commanding stage presence have captivated audiences worldwide, the band delivers performances rooted in authenticity, musicianship and the enduring power of reggae.
For Aston Barrett Jr., Exodus is more than an album — it is part of his family history. His father, Aston “Familyman” Barrett, was the legendary bassist and musical architect at the heart of Bob Marley & The Wailers' sound, with his unmistakable bass playing forming part of the foundation of Exodus and so many of the recordings that defined an era.
That connection between generations extends beyond the stage. In 2024, Aston Barrett Jr. portrayed his father in the acclaimed biopic Bob Marley: One Love, directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green and starring Kingsley Ben-Adir. His portrayal brought rare authenticity to the film, grounded in lived experience and a profound personal connection to the music and its legacy.
