About this Event
Experience an immersive event featuring Miles Davis’ original, isolated trumpet performances alongside new arrangements performed by a live 13-piece orchestra in the grand Huntington Ballroom, accompanied by film excerpts from the acclaimed documentary Miles Davis: Birth of the Cool. Film and live performance interlock in real time, creating a cinematic concert experience that places Miles himself—heard and seen in performance—at the center of a newly expanded symphonic landscape, as his unmistakable trumpet voice is surrounded by the power and sweep of a full orchestral sound.
The performance coincides with a rare gallery exhibit of original Miles Davis paintings that will be on dispay at The Tap Room for the entire month of November, curated by Larry Earl.
The event is supported by independent French high-quality streaming and download platform Qobuz.
