About this Event

From storybook to masterpiece — in one joyful afternoon

Every child knows the little caterpillar who ate his way through the week. At Art Journey, we take that much-loved story off the page and turn it into a hands-on creative adventure.

In this 2.5-hour trial workshop, children aged 3 to 7 listen to the story, step into it through guided role play, and then create their very own colourful butterfly artwork to take home. It is a gentle, playful first taste of what an Art Journey class feels like — with no experience needed and nothing to prepare.

What happens in the session

• Storytelling circle — the tale is read aloud with props, sounds and lots of giggles

• Role play — children act out the caterpillar's journey from tiny egg to butterfly, building confidence and expression

• Butterfly art making — using acrylic markers and layered collage papers, each child designs their own butterfly wings in bold, happy colour

• Show and share — every young artist presents their finished piece before heading home
