On Christmas Eve, we invite you to step into that world, an era of wonder, reflection and whispered magic for tarot and festive treats. In Victorian days, when candlelight trembled through drawing rooms and curiosity stirred behind lace curtains, the occult was not merely a pastime — it was a calling. Tarot, once a simple parlour card game, was transformed by mystics and spiritual seekers into a cherished instrument of divination, symbolism and secret knowledge. Séances, spirit circles and quiet moments at the card table offered comfort, meaning, and a sense of connection to something just beyond the veil.
This Christmas Eve at Brewery Market, as our vintage parlour games return to fill the room with that gentle glow of old-world merriment, we are leaning a little further into the enchantments of the Victorian age. Alongside the cards, riddles and quiet festive cheer, you will have the rare opportunity to sit with a true Victorian-styled medium and receive a tarot reading from Michele Dashwood Tarot and Mediumship Readings .
Michelle shares: “I have been reading Tarot for over 49 years, since my early teens, and have been connecting with spirit since childhood. I am an experienced intuitive reader and work closely with my spirit guides, preparing before each appointment to give a detailed reading. Brightest of blessings.”
On Christmas Eve, we invite you to step for a moment into that world — a gentler era of wonder, reflection and whispered magic. Settle in with thoughtful drinks, festive nibbles, vintage diversions and a touch of Victorian mystique, lovingly woven into the heart of our humble little craft beer apothecary.
A night of craft, creativity and community… with just a flicker of the otherworldly.
Parlour games from 8pm.
It's free to come along, all the nibbles and games are free, you do need to book for tarot readings.
