Some bands just want to entertain you. Jimmy Lynn's Psychedelic Velocity has a slightly bigger plan: wake up the masses, shake them out of their everyday routine, and send them back into the world ready to do a little good. That's quite a mission for these guys with musical instruments, but they've been taking their particular brand of psychedelic rock around Arkansas for years, building a following in the state's live music scene.
There's something wonderfully old-school about the whole idea. Back when rock and roll wasn't just something you listened to, it was something you believed in. Music could change your mood, challenge your thinking, and maybe even change the world a little.
Saturday, November 14, Jimmy Lynn's Psychedelic Velocity brings that spirit to The Vapors Live in Hot Springs. And considering the history of music that's passed through this building, we'd say they're coming to the right place.
