About this Event
The Unfinished Room: A New Orleans Story
Twelve chairs surround one table.
When the door closes, a medium begins telling the story of a room, a neighborhood, and an unfinished account that has changed depending on who was doing the telling.
What follows is an intimate theatrical performance built from spoken storytelling, low light, environmental sound and selected historical details from New Orleans.
Some parts of the evening are documented history.
Some are deliberately fictional.
The audience will not always be told which is which until the final minutes.
This is not a psychic reading, spiritual service or paranormal investigation. The performer portrays a fictional medium as part of an immersive story.
There is no livestream and no official recording.
Audience advisory: The performance takes place in reduced lighting and includes themes of death, mourning and supernatural folklore, plus occasional sudden sound cues. There are no strobe effects, smoke effects or physical contact with guests. The experience is intended for adults 18+.
Late entry: Because the room becomes part of the performance, late seating cannot be guaranteed after the story begins."
