Join us for The Ugly Sweater Shuffle — our festive year-end celebration filled with laughter, playful twists, and a little friendly competition! We’re closing out 2026 by bringing together everything we love about Mahjong: beautiful tables, wonderful neighbors, and the warm connections that happen when we gather around a game.

We've got a seat for everyone, whether you're a seasoned player or looking to learn your very first hand!
- $35 – Social/Open Play: For players familiar with American Mahjong who are comfortable playing independently.
- $50 – Learn to Play: For beginners or those looking to build confidence. Enjoy guided instruction, supervised play, and a warm introduction to the Mahjong community.

- Special Hand Challenges: Keep your eyes on your card! We'll have bonus prizes for players who complete specific seasonal hands and mini table challenges throughout the evening.
- The Final Mahjong of 2026: We’re celebrating our last official Mahj at Cafe Landwer for the year with a special prize for the final Mahjong declared of 2026!
- Mix, Mingle & Mahj: We'll switch up tables midway through the night so you can connect with new local faces, share a few laughs, and grow your Mahjong community.
- Hot Chocolate Bar & Sweet Treats Included: Cozy up at our complimentary hot chocolate bar with all the toppings and indulge in delicious sweet treats throughout the evening.
- Stay for Dinner or Drinks: Full dinner items and alcoholic beverages are available for purchase directly from Cafe Landwer.

- Dress Code: Cozy, tacky, or ugly sweaters are highly encouraged!
- Bring Your 2026 NMJL Card: We will have a limited number available to borrow or purchase.
- Come Solo or Bring Friends: We arrange tables thoughtfully based on experience level, and solo guests are always warmly welcomed.
