About this Event
Experience an exceptional evening of chamber music in the exquisite candlelit surroundings of St Mary le Strand. This stunning Baroque church, nestled in the heart of London, provides an intimate and atmospheric backdrop.
This concert offers a rare opportunity to hear some of the UK’s leading chamber musicians in a programme that explores the warmth, lyricism, and inventiveness of Franz Schubert. The evening opens with the serene and contemplative Notturno in E-flat for Piano Trio, followed by one of the most beloved works in the chamber repertoire—Schubert’s Piano Quintet in A major, affectionately known as ‘The Trout’. Brimming with melodic charm and joyful interplay between strings and piano, it’s a true celebration of Schubert’s genius.
Whether you're a seasoned concertgoer or new to chamber music, this inspiring performance promises an unforgettable night of artistry and atmosphere. And with a variety of excellent restaurants and bars just moments away, it’s the perfect cultural evening out in central London.
