About this Event
The Travelling Teapot
A Journey Through Tea, Culture & Community
Tea has been bringing people together for thousands of years.
Across the world, every culture has its own unique traditions, rituals and stories connected to sharing tea. Whether offered as a gesture of hospitality, friendship, celebration or reflection, tea has an extraordinary way of creating connection beyond language, culture and background.
The Travelling Teapot is a new monthly gathering from Inspiring Women Network, inviting our community to explore tea traditions from different cultures around the world through storytelling, conversation and shared experience.
Each month, we will visit a different country or culture, learning about the history, customs and meaning behind its tea traditions while creating a welcoming space to slow down, connect with others and celebrate the diversity within our community.
🍵 Our Journey: Kashmir
For our next Travelling Teapot gathering, Asma will introduce us to the tradition of Noon Chai, also known as Pink Chai, a tea with its roots in the Kashmir Valley.
Asma will share how this special tea has been part of her family's heritage for generations, traditionally bringing people together for weddings, celebrations and family gatherings.
