The Transcestors Kiki BallThe Transcestors Kiki Ball is a North Carolina Kiki Ballroom scene affiliated event and the theme is celebrate our trans brothers and sisters we’ve lost along the way; while also giving flowers to the ones still among us.
In recent years the RDU community has grown exponentially with ballroom curated events. Used to strengthen the area with ballroom knowledge and creative outlets for those willing and wanting to emerge themselves in the culture. We plan to continue to bring ballroom to areas that are sometimes overlooked. With this event we want to continue that mission while also putting a spotlight on our trans community, to ensure there could be no erasure of their existence.
The Transcestors Kiki Ball will be hosted by Vanity Bodega & Carolina Mother K!nky Versace and The LGBTQ Center of Durham at The Cookery.

🌸🌸 CATEGORIES 🌸🌸
GP FQ Face $500
🌸In remembrance of Coco Scalamandré 🌸
The Carolina’s have had many faces in the scene, but we would like to use this opportunity to celebrate a face whose time was cut way too early. November 2024 the Carolinas lost one of our own just days away from Trans Day of Remembrance. Tonight bring it in the remembrance of the Carolina Mother Coco! Either a previous look of hers or a dedication piece to her. Remember this is to honor a lost doll so no half stepping.
GP FQ Performance $1000
🌸 In remembrance of Tiara Jackson🌸
Fem Queen performance has always been the blueprint and set the standard for others to follow. Just last year the community was struck with the yet another shocking loss. Tonight we want to see our girls honor and give flowers to a Carolina beauty. Tiara walked multiple categories in the scene as we know, yet tonight we want to dedicate FQ performance to celebrate her. Bring us sexy performance tonight from the vogue down to the look.
