The Trades House of Glasgow was created at the time of reform of Glasgow’s local government in 1605. At that time the electorate was essentially divided into two groups: the Merchants and the Craftsmen. Trades House was established to help protect and support the Crafts people of the City. Over this time it has built an invaluable library which preserves the past of the city. Visitors are welcome to come along. Entry is £8 per talk. Should you chose to join the Old Glasgow Club, this will be deducted from the annual membership fee of £35.
