About this Event
Grace Pettis, Natalie Price and Rachel Laven are each accomplished artists with distinct voices and impressive bodies of work.
Grace Pettis is a critically acclaimed, award-winning songwriter known for her “little novellas that dig deep” (Americana Highways), blending folk, country and soul with a bold feminist perspective. Fort Worth native Natalie Price has emerged as a compelling new voice with a cinematic, emotionally resonant sound she calls “Ameri-kinda.” Raised in the rich tradition of Texas roots music, Rachel Laven is admired for clear, unencumbered songwriting that delivers complex truths with striking simplicity and warmth.
Together, they are The Texpats—and their story is about much more than music.
After a series of divorces, breakups and major moves, all three arrived in Nashville at pivotal moments in their lives. Laven opened her home to her fellow Texans in transition, and what began as a shared living arrangement soon became a modern-day songwriter haven.
They called it the “Texpat Haus.”
Inspired by legendary gathering places like the home of Guy and Susanna Clark, the house became a place to trade songs, stories and survival strategies. On any given night, you might find the three of them on the back porch passing guitars, harmonizing, writing, laughing and slowly stitching their lives back together.
It didn’t take long to realize that what was happening inside that house was too special to keep to themselves.
Now The Texpats bring that living-room intimacy to the stage. Their performances are built around gorgeous three-part harmonies, shared lead vocals and a deep respect for one another’s songwriting. They perform selections from all three catalogs, reimagine each other’s songs and weave in Texas-themed covers—creating an evening that feels less like a formal concert and more like being welcomed into a circle of extraordinarily talented friends.
Their connection runs deep. Pettis and Laven first crossed paths during Pettis’s time with the Texas trio Nobody’s Girl and toured England, the Netherlands and Ireland together in 2019. Pettis and Price are longtime best friends and collaborators who have toured extensively together, most recently in 2025, and co-written numerous songs. All three cut their teeth in the Texas songwriting tradition.
What unites them now is more than their home state. It’s a shared musical lineage, genuine friendship and commitment to honest, story-driven songwriting.
This is exactly the kind of performance White Lilac was built for: remarkable songs, close harmonies and the unrepeatable connection that happens when artists and listeners share an intimate room.
Come spend an evening at the Texpat Haus—without leaving Kenosha.
