We are opening registration for Prasadam, the first edition of my supper club.
About Prasadam: If the sound of iconic temple prasadam like Chidambaram Goshtu, Kanchipuram Kovil Idli, Kollur Gassi, Bhoge'r Labra, Alagar Kovil Dosai, Annakoot Bajra khichadi rings a bell, you are in the right place.
Prasadam offers an 11-course menu of quintessential prasadam from iconic Indian temples, with some dishes served in the traditional style and others with a contemporary twist.
Invitees: A humble, invite-only gathering of individuals interested in relishing temple cuisine developed over centuries in the Indian Subcontinent, served as bhog/prasadam in Lzflv'o temples.
Of course, we'll talk about divine food, recipes, temples, travel, spirituality, art, culture, and whatever the day brings. We encourage people from all diversities to join. Scroll down to learn more.
Dates: Stretching the festive season, the Supper Club will be hosted on 28th and 29th November, inviting 10 guests on each day.
About the Host:
After a very brief training stint at IHM PUSA, Akansh has pursued his career in Academia, while managing his family business alongside. After completing his PhD in Economics from the Indian Institute of Management Indore, Akansh is engaged as Assistant Professor of Economics at OP Jindal Global University.
Nevertheless, he has never missed an occasion to enter the kitchen and cook. Apart from putting up multiple food stalls across Delhi, Akansh has been hosting intimate gatherings of close friends since 2015.
For the first time, he is opening his kitchen for like-minded individuals, passionate about not just food, but also recipes. In the Supper Club, we discuss not just the stories around what is on the plate, but also the economics, politics, and philosophy of it.
The menu for the upcoming Supper Club Prasadam has been developed as a result of his extensive travels to temple towns across India, as well as relishing feasts at numerous festivities. The menu is eclectic, esoteric, and served with traditional as well as avant-garde elegance. Full menu (almost keeping room for surprises) will be disclosed upon request.
Location: Tucked in a quaint green neighborhood in the interiors of Shalimar Bagh, Akansh will host you in his almost half-a-century-old Indian Modernist house with flairs of Vernacular Brutalism.
Address: 63, BM Shalimar Bagh, Delhi-110088.
