What are 'The Stray Dawgs'?
Formed by local promoters & artists, the Stray Dawgs is the official house band for The Hallowed Hall in Bloomington, IL with the goal to cultivate a regular series of community focused hang-outs that pair with live music from both local & regional musicians. This is start a network to connect all the players in the midwest to open creative sessions and time to sit down, in a low pressure setting, to experiment and fellowship with other musicians together on stage. The Stray Dawgs will be band-led by local guitarist, Jim Conry (of Old Shoe) and host a interchanging lineup of players for every session, with the event reoccurring on the second Wednesday of every month.
This is a growing series that we are in mid-development on so we appreciate your consideration to participate. This particular sessions will have our good friend, Jim Conry sharing the lead role with Mace Hathaway, both of which are very malleable players that are there to back and play along with you, along with help choose a song (something you're comfortable with).
One important note, this session is currently planned to be an ACOUSTIC or unplugged session.
We're not sure how many will reach out at this time so we cannot guarantee we can fit everyone in, but the good news is we'll have several others of these before the end of the year.
