Truro Cathedral is set to host The Storytellers, a mesmerising immersive light and sound installation by the acclaimed artistic collaboration Luxmuralis. This exciting new theme builds on the success of previous Luxmuralis installations, bringing a fresh and inspiring perspective while continuing their celebrated tradition of transforming historic spaces into extraordinary immersive artworks. Transforming the historic cathedral into a breathtaking canvas of colour, music and imagination, this remarkable experience invites visitors of all ages to step inside a living tapestry of stories that span centuries of human expression.

At the heart of The Storytellers is a journey through the evolution of storytelling itself. Visitors will explore a series of spectacular sound and light artworks, each representing a different chapter in humanity’s creative heritage.
From the earliest oral traditions through to the enduring classics of world literature, the installation guides audiences across time and culture. Ancient texts, myths and legends seamlessly blend with the imaginative worlds of renowned authors. Children’s classics, fantasy, romance, poetry and folklore are brought vividly to life through striking visual projections and an evocative, richly layered soundscape. Each genre unfolds within the cathedral’s architecture, offering a unique and immersive encounter with storytelling in its many forms.
