Join us for a free event spotlighting the stories of black people in our everyday life, as part of GMECN's x Manchester BME Network's Black History Contribution.
- Author & Curator Tony Fairweather talks about the Windrush generation & showcases the Windrush Living Room & discusses his book, Twenty Eight Pounds & 10 Shillings: A Windrush Story.
- Poet & Film Maker Nathaniel Richards talk & screening of his love letter to black women of Manchester in Ode to Black Women.
- Hosted by Aba Graham Director of GMECN & Founder of SREP.
- Food & Drink by Sheetal & Gladys Kitchen Service with halal, vegan & gluten free small plates
- Raffle with Prizes supporting the work of Rafiki Cultural Food Network, that helps distribute of culturally appropriate food to global majority communities.
- Group discussion & activity spotlighting black people who have made a difference in our lives.
