Controls at Thremhall Park and Witham., plus 3 information controls.The route for 2026 is a reverse of previous editions and is subtly different: in particular there’s a more direct route early on through Braintree, as you should be through there before things get too busy. Also, if there should be sub-zero conditions, there’s a possible gritted road alternative onwards to Thaxted and down to the half-way control at Thremhall Park.
Car parking available at the Labour Hall, Collingwood Road, Witham CM8 2EE. A mid-morning start offers the option of a civilised extension to 200km.
