Put on your spooky season best and join us for a hauntingly special episode of The Stacks as we welcome in The Sugar Pushers.
POOOOF!! A purple cloud of smoke and bats dissipates. Behold! The Sugar Pushers have crossed the veil! Taking corporeal form as Count Abel, Dr. Bog, Pooka, and The Muck, The Sugar Pushers have been haunting the streets and bars of Northern California for half a decade, playing all original haunted hymns that are equal parts caramel apple, eye of newt, hexed theremin, and a bag full of black cats. They rise from their graves as the fall winds blow to spook your socks off with their raucous refrains. Once the last leaf has fallen, they retreat to the netherworld and slumber until the following year.
Enjoy an exclusive, up-close 40-minute set surrounded by a curated selection of music & art books.
We'll have a quick Q & A with the artists where you can ask questions and load them up with praise, then stick around for refreshments, mingle with a roomful of creatives, and browse amazing books on the arts. We'll provide wine, beer, bubbly water, and of course, too much candy.
It's Halloween month! Please share your excellent and creative costumes with us! We only ask that you keep extremely tall hats or headpieces at home for this outting since we will still be filming.
Important Event Notes:
Doors! Doors open at 6:00 but will close at 6:30pm, SHARP. This is a filmed event and to ensure no disruption, we unfortunately cannot accommodate late entrance.
Seating! Amatoria has 25 seats and all our events sell out, please don't try to attend without a reservation in advance. Call the store ahead of time if you need special accomodations.
Parking + Bike Rack! We now have our own bike rack right out front of the store. If you are driving, there is plenty of neighborhood parking available.
Filming! This is a filmed event that will be the property of KVIE and shared on the Abridged platform. The focus will be on the artists and the interviewer, but all concert guests may appear on film. By purchasing your ticket, you are giving permission for Abridged to use footage that may include you.
