The St. John Family Hour is a dad/daughter trio celebrating the recent release of their third album Lots of Love. Their evocative original songs feature their patented harmonies and lyrics that hit home. Their eponymously titled debut came out in 2023 followed by 2024’s Come Right In. They were finalists last year in the DCASE Chicago Made contest, and over the years principal songwriter Marlon St. John has appeared several times on the Uncommon Ground stage as well as many other venues in the region as a solo performer and with Houston based singer-songwriter Mark Zeus.
Ella St. John released her self-penned debut EP Space and Time in August of 2025 with a few of the songs getting added to playlists on Spotify garnering a quickly growing following. She followed that up by releasing a single “Lucky” with the band Midnight Blue in February. She has made two notable Get Amped appearances at The Metro as a solo singer-songwriter, and on her own or with a band her well crafted songs have a maturity that belies her seventeen years.
