THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS brings together the Joshua Tree Philharmonic and the newly formed Joshua Tree Jazz Orchestra for a joyful new holiday tradition celebrating the extraordinary range of music that defines the season. Joined by outstanding guest vocalists from the Cultural Center’s groundbreaking Broadway In Concert series, this special production blends symphonic warmth, big-band energy, beloved songs, and unexpected musical discoveries into one colorful concert for the whole family.
The program travels across generations and genres, with favorites from A Muppet Christmas Carol, the haunting beauty of Julie Andrews’ I Wonder as I Wander, and classic holiday arrangements from the legendary Stan Kenton and Glenn Miller Orchestras, alongside many more seasonal favorites. Like the concert’s unlikely roadrunner-and-coyote musical duo—natural rivals—setting their differences aside to make music together. It is a playful reminder that the holidays are, at their heart, about connection, harmony, and finding joy in what brings us together—even if there is sometimes a little mischief along the way.
The concert series will be conducted by Beinn-Mohr Stewart and Bill Barrett, under the artistic direction of Philharmonic maestro and internationally acclaimed composer and pianist Jarrod Radnich. From soaring orchestral moments to swinging jazz, intimate vocals, nostalgia, humor, and holiday spectacle, THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS promises a richly varied celebration of the music that brings us together at this most magical time of year.

Seating to accommodate those needing enhanced accessibility and companion seating is available and is marked on the seating chart. Those specially marked/reserved seating may be purchased by those not needing such an accommodation if other seating at the same price and party size is sold out for the desired concert date/time. Please take note that rows A-D are on all the floor level.

No Intermission—Late Entry. There is no intermission for this performance, however late admission will be allowed between selections.
