About this Event
A Soft Return: Music Therapy for Postpartum Moms is a free, bi-weekly program designed to support caregivers and their infants through restorative and intentional community. The program provides a calm, informal, welcoming space where postpartum caregivers can engage with peers and experience the therapeutic benefits of music with the option of doing so alongside their babies.
Each 60-minute session is led by a lead facilitator and supported by musicians, providing live, interactive music, optional guided movement, infant-directed musical play, and reflective exercises for caregivers.
Scheduled for late mornings, typical postpartum routines, including feeding, nap times, and self-care, and fluid participation are welcome.
The program is designed for adult caregivers with infants approximately 0–12 months, providing age-appropriate musical engagement, developmental stimulation, and bonding.
The physical environment is intentionally designed for comfort, a listening-experience, and sensory support.
Caregivers are encouraged to bring familiar comfort items (floor mats/yoga mats or bolsters) if desired, however, ample chair seating is available.
