The Snowman: Live with Yorkshire Imperial Band (Cert U)Step into the magic of Christmas at the iconic Stockport Plaza, as the world‑famous Yorkshire Imperial Band brings Raymond Briggs’ timeless classic The Snowman to life in a spellbinding live performance.
First released in 1982 and cherished by generations, The Snowman tells the enchanting tale of a young boy whose snowman comes to life and whisks him away on an unforgettable journey to the North Pole. It’s a story filled with wonder, friendship, and the purest Christmas spirit.
At the heart of the film lies Howard Blake’s unforgettable score; music that has become woven into the fabric of British festive tradition. From the unmistakable opening keyboard motif to the iconic ‘Walking in the Air’, every note will be performed live, with a guest vocalist joining the band to recreate the story in real time.
Join us on 13th November for a family‑friendly celebration of music and storytelling. With the rich, resonant sound of one of the UK’s finest brass bands filling the Plaza’s historic auditorium, this promises to be a truly unforgettable Christmas experience for audiences of all ages.
