Sips & Stories: The Heart Behind the Business with Sidonya Fulton
Wednesday, November 11, 2026 | 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Drip Coffee | Colorado Springs, Colorado
☕ What happens when you combine 15 years of human resources experience with a heart for helping people? You create a business built on truth, wisdom, and friendship.
Join us for the next Sips & Stories Show as we welcome Sidonya Fulton, founder of Ávila HR Consulting Services, for a conversation about leadership, people, purpose, and the experiences that shape the way we do business.
Sidonya's story began with a love of the Spanish language, a study-abroad experience in Spain, and an admiration for St. Teresa of Ávila—a woman known for her intellect, courage, leadership, and passion for helping others. Centuries later, that inspiration helped shape the name and philosophy behind Sidonya's own consulting business.
Her professional journey has taken her from serving as a Force Support Officer in the U.S. Air Force to HR leadership roles in retail and local government. After 15 years of helping organizations navigate the many challenges of managing people, Sidonya took the leap into entrepreneurship, creating Ávila HR Consulting Services to provide thoughtful, tailored HR solutions that support long-term success.
With a master's degree in Human Resources, HRCI Professional in Human Resources certification, and SHRM-Senior Certified Professional certification, Sidonya brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the organizations she serves.
But for Sidonya, HR is about more than policies, procedures, and compliance. It's about people. It's about building trust, helping leaders navigate difficult situations, and creating workplaces where individuals and organizations can thrive.
What We'll Explore
☕ What inspired Sidonya to turn her professional experience into her own business
☕ How military service shaped her leadership and approach to human resources
☕ The challenges business owners face when managing employees and growing their teams
☕ Why relationships, communication, and trust matter in the workplace
☕ How to balance the business side of HR with compassion for the people involved
☕ The values of truth, wisdom, and friendship—and how they influence the way she works
☕ What it takes to step outside your comfort zone and build something of your own
And, of course, we'll talk about the story behind the name Ávila and how a woman from the 1500s continues to inspire a modern-day entrepreneur!
Come for the Coffee. Stay for the Conversation.
At Sips & Stories, we believe everyone has a story worth hearing. Behind every business is a person with experiences, challenges, lessons learned, and a reason for doing what they do.
