If you want a Christmas night out that is more than a few pints and a Wham! cover, this is it. The Hootenanny is Dublin’s most unhinged festive tradition: part rock opera, part adult panto, part Nativity, and entirely out of control. Hot on the heels of last year’s sold out Hootenanny in Whelan’s, it’s time for the grand finale, and this year we take over the main room of The Grand Social.
The show is a full theatrical production with a live band and a cast of lunatics driven by one mission: to deliver the greatest Christmas debauchery Dublin has ever seen. Expect Christmas classics, boyband anthems, MJ, Pitbull, B*Witched and whatever else the story demands. Everyone is welcome. If you like Christmas, an insanely talented band, watching the Grinch get beaten up, and getting down with an insane crowd, this is for you.
