The Sic Museum wants to honor Titanic's 115th Anniversary by doing a FREE public display! It's a real challenge going 2.36 miles down in the North Atlantic Ocean to see the Titanic from Illinois. So, The Sic Museum is bringing it's exhibit of the RMS Titanic to Aurora, IL! We will be displaying our AUTHENTIC piece of coal that was recovered from the wreck in the 1994 Titanic Research & Recovery Expedition, some TIME PERIOD U.S. currency money of that era, an exact REPLICA of a 3rd class drinking mug, as well as a very detailed MODEL of the bow (front) of the wreck made by TitanStudios3D in Belfast - Ireland, the very same town the real Titanic was built in, AND SO MUCH MORE! It's a great and rare opportunity to get up close and personal with a moment in history, to pay respects to the ones that were lost on that dark, cold April night, and see a real piece of Titanic before the deep ocean and time takes her forever. For it's estimated in the next 40-80 years, Titanic as we know her, will be no longer. Come experience and learn more about "The Unsinkable Ship" that changed history 115 years ago.
WHERE: (Location pending) We will be talking and working with The Aurora Public Library District (IL) sometime in Autumn (2026) for Titanic's 115th Anniversary (April 2027) and see IF we can use one of their display cases for a few days or so.
WHEN: We would like to do April 10th (through/or) 14th-15th, 2027. The same dates Titanic sailed. More information to come this November/December 2026!
