The Story Behind The Shareholders
With a name like The Shareholders, you might expect a troupe of performing lawyers, and twenty years ago, you would have been right. The band was originally formed by guitarist Steve Robbins and his fellow attorneys and paralegals. Lead singer and guitarist Eric Murray, a building contractor by day, was the only non-legal professional in the original lineup. His background in musical theater gives him an impressive vocal range, letting him move from The Eagles to The Beatles with ease.
Veteran bassist and vocalist Geoff Livingston joined several years back, bringing an extensive repertoire that has grown the band’s song list to hundreds of tracks. Rotating drummers, often featuring Steve Reidel, keep the rhythm tight and dynamic.
Then there’s the extraordinary. Hammond organist and vocalist Mark “Muggy Doo” Leach and guitarist and vocalist Rod Kohn are both former members of the Buddy Miles Express. Their connection to Jimi Hendrix’s Band of Gypsys brings authenticity and flair to every set.
It’s a fitting band for the holiday: a group of friends who have been making music together for decades, still showing up, still having fun, and still grateful for the chance to play.

The Shareholders’ sound blends classic rock and blues, driven by Leach’s growling Hammond and Kohn’s fiery guitar solos.
