Tocyn Iaith is the second performance in the 2026 season of THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME - a programme of new, original solo performances by independent actors and theatre-makers. All of this year's six shows will take place in the Volcano window on Swansea High Street. TOCYN IAITH
Tocyn Iaith is a bilingual show set in a future Wales where the Welsh language is tightly regulated and controlled by official institutions and no longer belongs to communities. You’ll need a valid token to use it. Luckily you have arrived at the correct department.
RUFUS MUFASA is a poet, rapper, performer, and multidisciplinary artist based in South Wales. Her work explores language, power, class, belonging, and the complex relationship that often exists between people, systems, and place.
Mae Tocyn Iaith yn ail berfformiad tymor 2026 o THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME – rhaglen o berfformiadau unigol newydd a gwreiddiol gan actorion a gwneuthurwyr theatr annibynnol. Cynhelir pob un o'r chwe sioe eleni yn ffenestr Volcano ar Stryd Fawr Abertawe.
TOCYN IAITH
Mae Tocyn Iaith yn sioe ddwyieithog wedi’i osod mewn Cymru’r dyfodol, lle mae'r iaith Gymraeg yn cael ei rheoleiddio a'i rheoli'n llym gan sefydliadau swyddogol ac nad yw bellach yn perthyn i gymunedau. Bydd angen tocyn dilys arnoch i'w defnyddio. Yn ffodus, rydych chi wedi cyrraedd yr adran gywir…
Mae RUFUS MUFASA’n fardd, rapiwr, perfformiwr ac artist amlddisgyblaethol dwyieithog wedi fy lleoli yn Ne Cymru. Mae ei gwaith yn archwilio iaith, grym, dosbarth, perthyn a’r berthynas gymhleth sy’n aml yn bodoli rhwng pobl, systemau a lle.
