About this Event
Sparrows may seem like a catch-all term, but there are surprisingly dozens of species to find in the wild. These “little brown birds” can be frustrating to tell apart, so this guided walk will teach you easy, useful bird ID tips while highlighting some sparrow species in the area. We will also be logging our observations onto eBird, a community science tool that keeps track of when and how often different species appear. Binoculars will be provided, but feel free to bring your own gear!
We will be meeting first at the Farm Barn Orientation Center before departing for our program!

All programs begin at the Farm Barn Orientation Center unless otherwise noted.
Registration is required. Please let us know if you are no longer able to attend so your space can be offered to someone else. Cancellations received at least 48 hours in advance are eligible for a refund, if applicable.
Programs at Duke Farms are held rain or shine, but in the event of severe or impeditive weather, classes may be canceled. Email notice will be given as early as possible via email and refunds will be issued in the case of cancellations.
Accessibility
