Can you ever really be friends with someone you’re in love with?
Daniel, a married animator-turned-graphic-designer, and Elizabeth, a single videographer with dreams of becoming a documentary filmmaker, were best friends in college. Some people even thought they’d be more one day. But now, they haven’t seen each other or even spoken in six months. When Daniel suddenly shows up at Elizabeth’s door, what starts as a casual hangout between friends becomes an interrogation of their relationship, their careers, their art, their life paths and how each of them have changed over the past several years.
This production is written by Emily Worrell and directed by Kaya Dorsch.
About playwright and producer Emily Worrell:
Emily Worrell is a playwrirght, an editor, and a journalist, among other things (most notably a cat mom and Mothman's #1 fan). Guests at IF Theatre first encountered her work in the 2022 10-minute play festival with her intimate drama I Don't Call 911. Emily's writing was next scene in a whirlwind summer for her where she simultaneously produced The Dog Séance in the 2024 IndyFringe Festival and participated in the Div(x) Fellowship, where she and four other women and nonbinary theatremakers wrote and devised the hit coming-of-age dramedy The Sleepover. In 2025, Emily was named one of the regions three emerging playwrights as part of IU's At First Sight playwriting festival.
