There’s a mahjong club that meets after closing at The Ritual cafe — a safe space (all puns intended) you’re not supposed to know about. Now you do.
When the cafe pours its last coffee and flips the sign, Safe Space and Mahjong Lah take over the tables for a night of mahjong and social wellness.
Why mahjong?
Mahjong needs exactly four people. No solo mode. It’s the rare game where connection isn’t a nice-to-have. It’s the rules.
Safe Space™️ believes good conversations come easier when your hands are busy. Mahjong Lah believes everyone deserves a seat at the table.
This night brings both ideas to the same table.
How it works
Come alone. Most people do — that’s the design. We’ll find you a seat at the table.
This night is for players who already know how to play Singapore Mahjong. You don’t have to be an expert, just come ready to play.
No money on the table (strictly no gambling).
