The Science of Club Music Through a Modern+Indigenous Lens

Led by Philadelphia DJ, producer, curator, and organizer, this immersive workshop invites participants to listen deeply, move freely, and experience club music as a living technology rooted in ancestral tradition and collective energy.

Grounded in Reezey’s “CLUB · AFRO · SOUL” ethos, this session explores how modern dance music carries echoes of ancient practices of song, cypher, ceremony, and communal release.

During this experience, participants will:

• Explore the relationship between rhythm, movement, and human connection
• Engage natural movement through guided listening and embodied response
• Experience club music through both contemporary and ancestral perspectives
• Move, dance, and reconnect with the body in community

Comfortable clothing is strongly encouraged. This workshop is an invitation to remember that music has always been medicine and movement has always been knowledge. No prior experience necessary. Come as you are!
