Behold the man who is a runner.We’re squaring off at Battle of the Bean again, Team Coffee versus Team Cocoa, and this year I’m arriving the only way I know how: dropped from the heavens into a beam of light, with a choir announcing me like it’s somehow my fault. I won’t say much. Expect eyebrows, mumbling, and an alarming willingness to cut the line at the water table.
Coffee or cocoa? Ask me at the start line and I’ll answer with a noise you can’t spell. Either way, I’m full of beans, suspicious of everyone, and ready to treat 3.1 miles as a personal campaign against dignity. Come walking on sunshine with me, and save a picture of you at the finish, because I’ll be the one pretending I didn’t take a shortcut.
