The Root Experience: Living Cultures of Art, Music + Soul Festival, taking place November 12–14, 2026. More than an event, The Root Experience is a vibrant, annual, three-day affirmation of BIPOC and Indigenous resilience, creativity, and cultural sovereignty in Spokane and the Pacific Northwest. The festival highlights multicultural, multidisciplinary, and multigenerational participants from all walks of life. With storytelling as the vessel that weaves through ceremony, films, performances, gallery exhibits, workshops/ panels, fashion shows, and a free community meal on opening night, each day brings a new experience for audience members and participants.
